Imagine a Christian counseling ministry integrating Biblical truth
with clinical psychology, partnering with local churches, families
and individuals in order to help bring spiritual, emotional and
psychological wellness into people’s lives.
You’ve just imagined the Emmaus Center!
About Christian counseling:
The ministry of Christian counseling embraces the integration of the physical,
psychological, social, and spiritual aspects of individuals. The vision of Christian
counseling is to bring Christ’s wellness and wholeness into lives by promoting
physical health, emotional wellbeing, healthy relationships and spiritual maturity.
About the Emmaus Center:
The Emmaus Center is the result of a vision for a Christian counseling center that God gave to a number of committed individuals several years ago. We are happy to report that the center began to accept clients on September 1, 2004 and held its Grand Opening on September 30, 2004! The Emmaus Center is providing clinical counseling services to churches, families, couples and individuals from a Biblical perspective. The center is chartered as a non-profit ministry and is guided by a Board of Directors representing numerous churches in our community. The counselors, staff members and board members are united in their personal faith in Jesus Christ and their belief in God’s saving and healing power. The Emmaus Center operates from a theological perspective of historic evangelical Christianity, as clearly demonstrated by its Statement of Faith.
The primary goals of the center are:
(1) to provide an outreach into the community that brings together Biblical
truth and psychological understanding,
(2) to be accessible to everyone in need who seeks Christian counseling,
(3) to apply sound organizational and business practices, and
(4) to be recognizable as a premier Christian counseling ministry- excellent
in quality, highly professional and very visible.
